Fantastic place!! Service was exceptional and the food even better! We tried a couple of cocktails as well as the local whiskey flight. Shepherds’ Pie and Roast Beef were excellent. Beautiful restaurant. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the weather. Easy walk from Fountain Square. - 6/16/2026 

Going to the Aronoff Center. Great location for pre or after show meal. Beautiful building, esthetically well appointed. Service was exceptional. Time and day of week may require a reservation. They had a fun specific menu to show we were attending. (Great idea). Drinks, starter, and meals, out fast and appropriately timed. Food was delicious. Soft pretzels with cheese, fish and shrimp, chicken and waffles. Shout out to management your staff is superb. We probably had 4 additional staff members besides our server that stopped, asked if we needed anything, took used things away, asked if we were satisfied. Would highly recommend to family and friends. We live 3hrs away but will be back. We're in town alot. - 6/14/2026 

The food was delicious—wouldn’t change a thing. The salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly, the crab cakes were excellent, the sides (fries, mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables) were all 5/5, and the cheesecake was the perfect finish.Staff hard-working & amazing.Atmosphere was great! - 6/14/2026

Nicholson is always a great place to go before the Aronoff center. We did go early because it gets crowded closer to Showtime. Everyone enjoyed their food – one got salmon, one got fish and chips, one got the pot roast and one got the hot brown. Our server, Deja, was very good. - 5/18/2026

Haven't been here in at least a decade or more, so expectations were not high. PLEASANTLY surprised! Food was all really delicious...around the table we had french onion soup, pot roast with mash potatoes, fish and chips, shrimp and grits, beer cheese and pretzels, mac and cheese, the house salad was sooooooooo good. My only call outs were the beer cheese could've been, idk, a little creamier to go with the thick heaviness, and the fish, whilst delicious, the presentation was giving fish sticks, not fine food like the sign says lol. A nice fillet for the small portion, and 2 for the larger would've been a better look. But otherwise, yeah, highly recommend, especially if you haven't been in years like me. Glad to know they're still doing good food. Have to call out our server, Chainey (??)...she was fantastic! - 5/11/2026

We came here once for dinner on a Thursday evening. It was very busy, but mostly likely because there was a show at the Arnoff across the street. The place cleared out by 7pm. It's probably wise to make a reservation, just to be safe, in case you're visiting on a night when there's a show.It was restaurant week when we came. The full menu has English vibes with plenty things I'd order. Between the two of us, we had the walnut street salad, kilted shrimp, pan seared salmon, bone-in pork chop, berry crumble, and three layer chocolate cake. Overall, everything was good, nothing I wouldn't eat again, but I don't think there was a wow factor for either of us. The salmon and veggies were very well seasoned and tasted even better than they looked. Portions were good and service was very good, too. I wouldn't deter anybody from giving this place a try. - 5/08/2026
